Hi all,
Specifically I'm looking at the Linksys WAP54G with the latest firmware which enables repeater mode.
This is probably not product specific but I was wondering if it's still possiable for that repeater to be connected to a switch serving wired clients as well as wireless clients? I do understand that I get half the performance in repeater mode and I'm ok with that.
The repeater will only be used for internet connection "bridging" to another AP in (AP mode) for internet only. Behind that repeater will be wireless and wired clients which 90% of the time would only communicate between themselves.
Thanks in advance for any pointers. I just wanted to make sure the equipment is correct before I go and spend any money!
