Can a show run out of story's?

I don't know, the Simpsons have been on for about 17 seasons, and they still produce some good stuff, although there are some episodes that are complete garbage

No, they can't run out of stories, they could always think of something new or just hire new writers. The problem is whether those new stories are good/interesting or not.

probably not if its a sitcom...but i wouldn't be able to think of something new everyday

Yeah I would think that writers run out of ideas after a while. I'm still obsessed with Lost so I hope they keep it up.
