Can a router give greater priority to a wireless connection over a wired connection?

there is 1 wireless and 1 wired connection in the house and while not exactly scientific, if I were to have both connections streaming the same video, the wired connection has been experiencing what I would describe as lag / buffering issues while the wireless connection is more or less smooth.

the wired PC is superior to the wireless PC and I'm using ATT DSL with a 2Wire router. the router settings have not been touched. the wired PC has been scanned clean with Malwarebytes & Avast. can anyone advise what might be the issue?

interesting, have you tried to stream the video only on the wired pc alone, so that you know that no one else is currently hogging the internet. This way you will find out if the wired pc can stream videos smoothly at all.

also you should change your wireless password to make sure its not leaked to other users around you.

you should update your graphic card drivers and your Ethernet card drivers.

you should also go to www.speedtest.net and perform a test over there to check your upspeed and downspeed. make sure, noother application is using he internet at that time and no one else is using the internet via a laptop or anything else.

you should also download the latest version of flash, which is what most streaming applications use to deliver the videos.

hope that helps
