4 - can a IDE RAID be transferred to a SATA RAID?

If it's the same chipset for the RAID then it's possible...same MoBo chip Manufacture then more Probable[/b]

Doubts but I'm sure it's possible

I've done it

4 - can a IDE RAID be transferred to a SATA RAID?

Yes
In all Cases it's best to Ghost or copy Data to an IDE HD, setup the RAID, then Ghost back Plus In all Cases Back up your Data 1st as the OS too will make a difference [/b]
