I've been building my first pc and there is a minimum recomended and then a recomended listed in the manual I have. Mine is larger than both at 350W is that ok?

Power supply is only to big when you can figure out some way to use that power. If you know of a way that you personally could use all of it, then you need a biger one. You tend to hold onto a powersupply for a few years so you collect other components and add them on. Talk to some of the guys in here. They kept on collecting stuff in their case until they got 6 hard drives all scsi and massive overclocks with the peltier cooling systems. They didn't start that way but added overtime. Plan ahead because that may be you in a few years. 350 is good for almost anything i could personally afford in the next few years.
