I am trying to put together a cheap cd duplicating station with an old p2-266. I have 96 megs of ram and a ultra33 card to control extra drives. Basically I want to have a 32x reader copy a cd to four 8x or 12x burners at the same time.. some have suggested that this cpu cant handle this... this is the only thing the system would be used for.
p.s. No Im not starting a pirating ring, I make interactive cd's for a living.
Are the 12x worth the extra money?? I've seen 8x drivers for $88, and 12x drives for $129
