Can a pentium mmx 233mhz play divx?

if not, is it possible to speed up the current playback im getting? With almost dvd resolution im getting about 5fps-10fps with severe dropped frames.

i've done it on a p2 300 before with an ati card... wasn't all that... or course i am used to watching divx on far more powerful pc's. i really don't think the 233 will be able to do it, but i have been know to be wrong

try nimo codecs, http://www.jeff-williams.net/~nimo/, any of those 3 codecs will do. It integrates itself in to win media player and can play any divx file plus a vareity of others and takes very low cpu usage. Try it!
