Can a notebook that uses DDR-Sodimm use DDR2-Sodimm?

Are they the same? Neweeg has the DDR2 Sodimm for cheaper which is why im asking

so they're pysically different memories. I thought DDR2 means dual channel, or is it soemthing else?

No, DDR2 does not mean dual channel, it's just a newer version of DDR. They have a differant number of pins, and run on differant voltages. They are not compatible. Dual channel is a feature of a memory controller, not of the memory itself.
