Can a LCD TV be used as LCD monitor?

Often, yes. If it has a DVI or HDMI input (most of the larger ones do, as far as I'm aware), then you're good to go. Or they might have Component or VGA inputs, either of which will work pretty well too (not quite as well as DVI though for sharpness of image, plus not all video cards will support Component output). If it only has 480i inputs (Composite/S-Video), forget about it, it really won't even be worth using. The main issue you're going to run into if you do this, is that it seems most LCD TV's except for the high-end ones are pretty low resolution compared to computer monitors. For instance, 26"-32" LCD TV's are usually 1280x720 or 1280x768, which is good for watching HD content but is probably somewhat low resolution for being a computer monitor of that size. I think I've even seen some smaller LCD TV's (20" range?) as low as 800x600 resolution, and I think that's pretty much not usable these days for a computer monitor.

Do you have any specific models you're looking at...?
