I have a Asus A7Pro (kt133), will it work with the XP's? I know that I wont get anywhere near the preformance of a KT333 board since the FSB will be limited and I'll be using pc133 RAM. But I just want to test out a CPU to make sure it works.

Good old ASUS site BIOS download page is not working again but from the looks of things I'd say NO. There was no mention anywhere that I went to that said it would support the XP. If you are looking to do this I hope I'm wrong but that is the best I could find. If you can get to the BIOS download page it might offer some insight.

The official Asus line is "no" because the KT133 chipset doesn't support a 133MHz FSB.

You might be able to run the XP at a 100MHz FSB though, depending on your board revision and BIOS. According to this table, the A7Pro with a PCB revision of 1.05. (note the trailing dot after the "5" - it's significant) and BIOS version of 1.008 or higher supports the Duron/Morgan (which is a smaller cached version of the XP). I vaguely remember reading somewhere that somebody got the A7V running with an Athlon XP and the 1.008 BIOS on a lower revision board than Asus recommended. YMMV.

Good luck.
