Can a heatsink be too heavy?

I'm going to be building a s939 based system with an MSI Neo2 Platinum mobo.. This rig will be used as a LAN system and will be moved around a lot. I was looking at getting a nice all copper heatsink, but a lot of them are much heavier than the stock heatsink.

I'm looking at the Thermaltake and Zalman all copper heatsinks, and each are around 740-780grams (1.6-1.7lbs)! Would these heatsink be too heavy for a system thats going to be lugged around? I dont plan on banging it around, but I wouldnt want the HSF/CPU brackets breaking off if the heatsink is too heavy by just moving the case around.

Those are a bit heavy for moving frequently. You're better off with something weighing close to the stock heatsink. It won't cool as well but it's a lot better then having your processor ripped off.

The Al/Cu Zalman cools within 1*C of the all-copper version and only weighs 445. Just make sure that you get a HSF that bolts directly to the backing plate and not one that relies on the plastic retention guide to hold the HSF in place.

Yea, the ALCU 7000A is just as well as the CU, within 1C.
