Can a fragmented pagefile or hard drive...

I get random shut downs every once in a great while when using a lot of memory on my system... I'm wondering if it could be caused by a fragmented hard drive or incorrect pagefile settings. I have tried diagnosing the problem through all possible hardware explanations, and have narrowed it down to some kind of flaw within windoze or SP2.

I don't really know. Thanks for the help.

Have you ran Memtest86 to check your RAM

After memtest, I'd run a chkdsk to check for errors on your hard drive...

Start--->Run---Type 'cmd'

At command prompt---->type chkdsk c: /r

It'll probably say drive is in use and press y to scan on next startup.
