can a dell be overclocked??

my friend (not me) has a dell dimension 4200 series with a pee3 1 ghz....he wants to know if there is any way to overclock it....like maybe a bios update or somthing....i told him i don't think that there is any way besides a new mobo, but ill ask anyways just in case

If it's Dell it's a pretty safe bet they havent left an viable way to overclock it.
You could try SoftFSB and see if the clock generator allows any FSB settings that arent set to be displayed in the BIOS... but in all likelyhood he can't o/c.

who makes dell's mobos? maybe you can use an analogous BIOS with some overclocking functions...
