I've always wondered this. Let's say in front of a cop, I blaze right upto 60mph in 65 zone. Can he still pull me over? You know the situation.

If they beilieve that it constitues wreckless driving.

Squealing isn't something I would recommend infront of a trooper

I know someone who once got a ticket for unsafe start by spinning his tires after stopping for a stop sign.

I was in a car (back seat) that was pulled over for doing this. The cop said my friend accelerated too fast and gave him a warning.

Plus if you accelerate fast enough your tires would make a screeching noise, and you could definitly get a ticket for that. I forgot what the ticket is called though.

on a speeding ticket i got, on the list of fines and how much each one is, there's one for 'unnecessary acceleration'.

I get them all the time in the mail, but never in person. Reason being a cop sees me gun it but I don't stop at the speed limit. I keep on going and they can never keep up (maxima power), but since they got my plate they just mail me a ticket for speeding plus evasion of police. I've had like 8 in the last year for the same thing.

Yes. It's called "Stunting" here. Happens quite often.

Spinning out, squeeling tires nets you the same offense.

Yes.

I actually got a ticket for it about 4 years ago. The officer marked it as "Speed Racing" on the ticket. I fought it before the judge and won. :)

I smell BS.

If this were true wouldn't they be adding "driving under a suspended license" to the charges?

I agree, a friend of mine got it in a parking lot
Was it crowded? On more than one ocassion back home when it's been in the middle of a snow storm I've gone to a big empty parking lot (like walmart size) and in my mom's subaru played at being colin mcrae. Great fun and very safe. I would hope a cop wouldn't nail me for it.

I suggest you keep eluding them, for surely you have acquired too many 'points' to have a valid license :p

Nope. I always slip the judge a $50 and he lets me off, no worries!
