Can a bad motherboard damaged installed memory?

Is memory pulled from a notebook with a bad motherboard likely to be damaged?

What is worst case scenario and likelyhood of that scenario?

And can I damage a good notebook by installing memory that was fryed on another notebook? (would boot into MemTest86 to make sure problem doesn't trash current Windows install)

Memory pulled from a "bad" motherboard may very well be damaged, depending on which part of the motherboard went bad. And while almost anything is possible, it's extremely unlikely that damaged RAM could damage a different motherboard.
