I know the 8 chip 9600gso's can be softmoded for the extra memory and also the 128sp insetad of the 96sp.

Can a 6 chip be modded to get the 128sp as well?

I have a G92 9600GSO with 768mg memory. Its a Rev A2 with 96sp right now.

No that is for the 8 memory chip 9600gso. Mine is a 6 chip 768mg card. I know there is no hidden/free memory but I thought maybe there is a way to open the extra sp's on the card like the other G92's.

So the 768 MB cards actually have less chips? Hmmm...I guess that makes sense if they started using higher density chips for a later revision.

Well kinda. The 8chip is really 512mg but with 2 chips turned off. So you get 384mgs and 96sp's. With the softmod you turn on the extra memory and go to 128sp's. i was trying to see if you coudl JUST turn on the 128sp's if you don;t have the extra memory.
