Can a 9600 non pro works with lcd monitor?

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a benq fp93gx to replace my 17" crt (it's on his last leg), would i be able to play mohaa, ss2, hl1 and such at the native resolution of that monitor which is 1280x1024 with my card? if not would a 9600xt do the trick ( i can get one for 58$ at ncix)?

my rig is a7v333-x with 1 gig of ram and sempron 3000+.

I don't plan on upgrading my comp until next year.

I can play Half Life 1 on my father's old P4 1.4GHz with an ancient Nvidia TNT (or something like that) at 1280x1024.

And I used to play HL2 at 1280x1024 on my 9600SE (inferior to the PRO) with mid settings and get over 40FPS. You'll be fine. All those games will run well at the LCD's resolution.

if i wanted to play something newer like fear or CoD2 would that still works or would i have to upgrade to the 9600xt or the 9800 pro if i can find one?

my psu is only 350w so i don't know if it could handle something more than those 2.

I used to play CoD2 at 1280x1024 on the 9600SE, albeit with low settings and DX7 mode. The game ran well, though.

FEAR is another story. The game would barely run at 800x600 mid-low settings and looked like crap. That game requires at least a X800 or 6800 to run decently.

i saw a x800xl refurb at ati for 139$can. my comp is a7v333-x with 1 gig of ram and sempron 3000+ is that card to much for my system to handle ( with my 350w psu)?
