Hey guys i'm thinking about buying the 9600 and was wondering can it be oc to a 9600 pro?

Usually not. The core can probably hit around pro speeds, but the ram on the 9600np is usually too slow.

Most 9600np's skip a cooling fan. 9600Pro's have active cooling. If you did OC a 9600np a fan would be required. But the mem will be your limiting factor anyway.

Besides the cooling, 9600?s only come with 4ns memory (at best), which will probably only overclock to the 250 -260 range, well short of the 300mhz of the 9600pro.
