Can a 4 foot copper statue next to wireless router mess it up?

My friend has a 4 foot copper statue next to her wireless router and she says that on her laptop she keeps getting kicked off the net. Can it interfere?

Wireless interference? Try changing router channels. Worked for me before when I had the same problem.

Of course, I didn't have a gigantic copper statue to deal with...

Perhaps some EEs can answer this one. But, for what it's worth, I have my wireless router on top on my 100% steel Antec clone case and have had little trouble so far. The only interference I get is from my Panasonic 2.4Ghz phone, and I'll have to change the channel on the router or the phone itself to re-establish a connection.
