I need to get a Checking Account for paypal so I can get verified. But my dad won't let me use his. He said if I can get a Checking Account he will co-sign. Is this possible? And can I get a CC or a ATM CARD?

thanks

Yes, it is possible. I've had a checking and savings account since I was 11. Just have to get your parents to cosign.

Cheers!

HIGHLY doubtful

at 15 you are not liable for your actions by law, therefor you could overdraw your account and they couldnt make you pay it back..... most banks wont take the risk that you know or will try to use this little detail against them

That's why you have a parent cosign.

Bank rules differ, but most will offer checking accounts to anyone regardless of age as long as you meet the minimum deposit. They'll probably require $100 or so to open the account. If you qualify for the checking account you'll get an ATM to draw from that account. Credit card not a chance unless it's a secured card.

Have a parent cosign with you. I've had bank accounts since I was 10. Checking at 12.

Technically you can't have a credit card or debit card until you're 18, period, because your parent would have to sign the slips. In practice, no one looks at the signatures, so you could get a cc as long as it was under your parent's name.

I'm 17 and I've had PayPal since I was 15. I only had a savings account with First State Communicaty Bank when I was 15, and PayPal worked fine with that. When I turned 16, I changed to a checking account.

I had a credit card with my name on it before I was 18.
