Just as the title states can I put a 1366 processor into a 1155 or 1156 motherboard. I read somewhere that you can put a core I7 into either 1155 or 1156 I dont remember.

no, LGA 1366 has 1366 pins, 1156 has 1156 pins and 1155 has... you guessed it, 1155 pins, it's physically impossible to fit a 1366 processor in any other socket.
what confuses you is the naming scheme of the cpus. core I3/5/7 doesn't refer to the platform but rather the segment of the market that the processor is targetted at.

core I7 9xx = LGA1366
core I7 8xx = LGA1156
core I7 2600/k = LGA 1155
