I’m stumped... it’s an iPhone SE.

On my PC desktop I linked iTunes to a new folder holding downloaded YouTube robotics videos from a friend. They play through iTunes, but every time I sync it with my phone and try to play it with Apple’s movie app on my phone it says I need a cellular connection, WiFi connection or sometimes it just says can’t play video.

What gives?

I tried Infuse and maybe I’m old and grumpy but it seemed like I had to buy Plex to use it. Plus like all these video players I’ve tried it seems like they are all server oriented.

I thought Appple products were supppse to be simple and easy? I have the video files and just want to play them but I’m not allowed to just drag and drop from PC to iPhone

nPlayer lets you do this without iTunes over wifi but i prefer doing it over ethernet to my iPad Pro 512 GB 10.5 inch. Much faster!

Have you tried "Send Anywhere"? I use it for DVDs I rip to my laptop and then use Send Anywhere to copy to my ipad pro. Works great and the videos play great as Send Anywhere has its own video player.

You don't need plex, you can direct Infuse to a network share or NAS.
