I'm shopping for a used car. Someone is selling a Toyota Camry 2004, but one of the passenger doors is banged up.
I can't seem to find any door replacements online. Can a replacement door be had only at a junkyard? What's an estimate to get this cosmetic dent fixed?
The front and back bumpers also has some cosmetic damage, but I think these parts can be replaced easily. I found a replacement online (primed) for $105.
Anyway, aside from this, the mechanical parts of the car seem to be in good condition. Surprisingly, the mileage is really low for a 2004. It only has 50k miles. My 2006 car has 120k miles already. He's selling it for $6500, but I did a ballpark appraisal on Edmunds and saw some listing for similar models, the market price seem to range from $4000 to $4500.
I think $4000 would be a good deal. I'm only aware of 3 recalls for a 2004 Camry. Since the last one was from 2011, he likely has it fixed already.
