Campus Parking Enforcement is hella efficient

I was late to my work half an hour ago (drop-in tutoring session). I just drove to the building I worked in. As I got there, I saw the parking enforcement car drove out at 6:45pm. I was thinking the coast is clear and proceeded to park there. Luckily my working area has a window that can see right at the parking lot. It has a long straight road to enter the parking lot. I saw a parking enforcement car coming in at 7:05pm (20 minutes from I last saw it). I just ran down ASAP and got my car out of there. He parked his car right when I got there and was preparing to hand out tickets. That was a freaking close call. But now I am completely winded because I just dashed back to work.

They have to relax on the giving out parking tickets crap. It's 7pm and the parking lot is half empty. At least don't check once every 20 minutes.

Parking enforcement? What's that? I park in the faculty lot all the time... They won't issue a ticket to you if you pull off your student parking hangtag and hide it in your glovebox, because they assume you're a guest lecturer. Just remember to put it back on when you park back in the student lots, because the ****** will ticket you with mad efficiency if you take one of the decent parking spaces in there without a tag.

I swear the bums-a-snitches used to hide in the bushes where I went to school. The thing was such a racket that they funded their entire department on parking ticket revenues. I got a ticket once for being parked in a loading zone at night and the cop was there, wrote the ticket, and left in less than 5 minutes...

Now if only they could be as efficient when responding to a real crime.

On most college campuses their is a difference between the parking gestapo and campus police. Campus police = police, parking enforcement = security guards/rent-a-cops that have no authority beyond giving parking tickets.

That sucks... our campus drops most of it's Parking Enforcement after 4:00 PM.

Yeah 4:30 you can park anywhere pretty much, but one night I parked in an Orange zone instead of Red (my parking decal) They start handing out tickets at 7:30 AM, I got to my car at 8am and had a ticket stamped for 7:33am!

One time my friend had about the same situation, except the parking enforcement guy stopped his car right behind my friend's car so my friend couldn't move. Then he came out and gave my friend a ticket, what a douchebag.

I think they only get paid by a proportion of the tickets they gave out each day, otherwise there's no way they are that efficient.

6:02AM when the area of the lot (which wasn't even marked as being separate from the lot I parked in) became illegal at 6AM.

make a friend in parking and transit office, i had a suitemate who worked for them I could park whenever/wherever and he took care of the tix for me

I used to have a 10:30 class right next to Zone 3 parking. I had a pass for Zone 6, but you have to take a shuttlebus to park there, and it's really kind of annoying. I figured I could park there for 50 minutes, and nobody would notice.

I got out of my car at 10:25.

I recieved a ticket marked for 10:26. They had waited for me.

Wow, that would really piss me off, especially if I was in the car.
