Campers/Backpackers, need your advice on sleeping bags

Going camping here a in a few weeks and I need a new sleeping bag. I'm not up to speed on all the latest and greatest in sleeping bags since I haven't had to buy one in awhile.

I prefer something decent for all seasons, but mainly for warmer weather. Something that packs small and as lightweight as possible is a must.

What say you?

ETA: Any input you have on sleeping pads to accomodate said sleeping bag is welcome also.

Depends on your size and price range. Sounds like +15 would work for you. May I suggest REI or campmor? Also, thermarests are awesome.

Hit up some camping stores and look at their selection... Best way to go.

That way you can actually feel, pick them up, etc.

I bought the cheapest fitting one from walmart.

Granted we were sleeping inside tents so getting them wet was not an issue.

I have a The North Face Cat's Meow bag purchased in like 1991(?). I see they still have that model. I used it for camping and backpacking trips all through my Boy Scouts career.

Thermarests are indeed awesome. Maybe a little bulky but totally worth it imo.
