What's the difference between Campbell's soup in the red can (Chunky) and the white can (Select)? Is one supposed to be better than the other?

By the Select kind, do you mean the one with the red and white can?

That one is condensed so you have to add water prior to cooking.

The Chunky one has thicker noodles, and larger chunks of chicken and vegetables. It is not condensed and tastes a lot better IMO.

These two (chunky and select) are the bigger cans not the smaller red AND white which are the condensed soups. Chunky and Select both seem chunky to me and they taste about the same too. So I don't know what's the difference.

Select and Chunky are both ready to eat, come in bigger cans, and usually have more high-quality ingredients. Chunky is, well, shunkier than Select. I usually buy these kinds because you can bring them to work and just heat them up in the microwave.

The stuff in the regular cans is usually condensed and requires you to add water or milk.
