Not really. Depends on the soup, but canned soup can hardly be considered good for you.

Home made would be 100x better.

Those "Soup at Hand" things are actually convenient if you have very little time for lunch.

have you looked at the Salt content on those things??? 1200mg of sodium... it's heartattack-in-a-can

One time my dad ate a can of equality soup and didn?t read the label. I tasted it a bit and holy-freaken-hell-fire that was SALTY! You?re supposed to add 2 cans of water and heat it.

I don't eat them, my girlfriend does (and she really likes them). I don't think she noticed that, though. Maybe the expanded line will have reduced-sodium varieties.

Now if they would just remove the M.S.G. from their soup.

I think in their whole line, there may be only 2-3 types I can eat.

M.S.G. gives me migraines. I avoid it like the plague!!

campbells is gross...they condense the crap out of a lot of their soups. I prefer progressive in almost every case.

How do you make good soup?

I like..

Take 3 or 4 potatos and dice them into small cubes.
Place into pan and just cover with milk. Boil until soft
Add salt, around a teaspoon.
Add about 1/8 stick of butter.
Add about 1/4 diced onion and chilli powder to taste.

That's the general idea. I don't have a recipe and it changes a little each time. Add the oninions last so they don't cook fully and still have a little crunch to them.

Consumer Reports did a report on the contents of campbells chicken noodle soup.

It was composed of 22% noodles, 5% chicken, and 73% base/stock.

That's a lot of chicken 🙂
