When I transfer video from my camera, it's choppy.

1) Why is it choppy?
2) How can I make it faster?
3) What products do you suggest I use?

PC Specs:
Win XP Home
AMD XP 2000+ 1.65ghz
768mb DDR Ram

Camera:
Samsung Digital-cam SC-D353 NTSC

Thanks 🙂

with the 1394 connection (firewire/iLink) it is only going to be in realtime. once the video is on the computer is it choppy then too or just during the transfer?

you may want to verify your 1394 drivers are up-to-date and you not doing anything on the computer except letting the dv transfer.

what software are you using? also what 1394 card are you using?

I'm not using firewire, and I'm not sure if I'm using USB2.0 or 1.1. It's choppy after I transfer it on.

I'm using Windows Movie Maker. I don't have a firewire port on this computer.
