Hey all,

Another camera question.

Supposedly Nikon has a lens that will take a steady picture even if the camera is shaking thus eliminating the use of a tripod.

Does anyone know what lenses or what this technology is called?

Image ready...image still..or something like that??

Thanks!!

Nikon's version is VR---vibration reduction. Canon was the first lens maker to offer the technology and they call it IS---Image Stabilization

Honestly I'm not positive what it is but I know that Canon also has a similar technology. But I can't remember what that's called either.

Hmmm, that doesnt really sound right man. Think about what you are saying man, a lens that will take a clear image while its moving and shaking...? Maybe im wrong..?

I think Nikon only offers VR on one lens, BTW. Canon has it on at least 3 that I know of.

edit: link to the Nikon

and Canon has IS on 5 different lenses, not 3
