Camera experts: generic vs name brand Digital camera memory?

I got Patriot brand 2GB SD cards from Outpost and they worked flawlessly when I took a couple thousand photos in Europe this summer.

Yea, but I still got something against em for spamming ads all over back when they were starting up.

Sadly, their cheap prices and performance made me buy their 2x1gb sticks anyway.
