I'm looking for a camcorder that can easily be put to digital format and be made into movies or edited on the computer without a problem. I wanted to make some longboarding videos around my campus and put them up on the net. Being a student I have limited funds here so I was looking for the cheapest route while still getting something halfway decent.
Is MiniDV the solution for me?
For the same price I can get a small digital camera that can take 30fps 640x480 films as well though.
I'm torn between the MiniDV and getting a regular camera that'll work great for pictures and good for movies still.
What would you reccomend and why? And I'm looking for $150 - $200 here if I could put a price limit on it.
edit: also last generation stuff is totally fine with me - i.e. 4 or 5 megapixel cameras instead of 7's and 8's.
