I'll probably remember the event more for meeting the namesake of this website, Anand Lal Shimpi. I shook his hand and thanked him for setting up this forum. I forgot to ask him to hook me up with the left over parts from all the reviews he does though 😉. The battle of the machines was sort of interesting, but not really. You had a certain budget to work with, and you had to choose your CPU, Video, and memory to add to the Nforce board that was provided. The choices were XP2400/2600, GF4 ti4200/ti4600, and PC2700/PC2100 mem sticks. I don't remember the costs of those items, but the way those things were priced, you can only go 2 ways, if you want to win. Get the XP2400 and get ti4600, or get the XP2600 and go with ti4200. You can't buy XP2600 and ti4600 and stay under budget. The benchmarks were PCMark2K1, Serious Sam, and UT2K3. It wasn't very organized, and I have no idea which contestant won, but I think I would have gone with XP2400/Ti4600 for those benchmarks. Good luck to those of you who're going to the rest of this tour! 😀
 
I think this is the first I have heard of this tour. Is there a website or some kinda of info about this tour on the net? I am curious about how this is done.

Sorry Roudy Roudy Ray!!!! Working everyday for the last two months have caused me to be a little behind on the times.
