it created a hidden directory with a porn name, and about 50,000 empty sub directories with various pornographic names. And then it created a sub directory called dictionary with a sub directory for what looked like each word in a dictionary. Explorer would crash when I tried to get to the directory so to access if ftp'ed deltree to try and delete it. It was a pretty decent computer, C2D with 1 gig of memory, deltree sat there for about 22 minutes while it deleted all the directories. When I did a "dir" his mom saw some of the directory names not sure which but I saw "gaping assholes" "midget cum shot" "ass raping" just to name a few. When I did ctrl-X to break back to a prompt she was looking over my shoulder. She asked how many of those existed I said "I dunno maybe about 50,000, I can't tell but it's a lot though" and went on to tell her it might not have happened from looking at porn. But something tells me she didn't care and when I left all hell broke loose lol sucks to be him (he was 15)

What's NFTS's limit for directories on a single partition? Google is turning up different answers, but I think this thing just wrote empty directories until NFTS said "enough!"

Moved to security

Without specifying single partition, it would be unlimited. On a single partition, its 4,294,967,295. I believe in NTFS you also have an unlimited depth (folder within a folder within a folder, etc.), but there are application limits. A path string can be up to 32767 Unicode (2 bytes) characters long.
