Camcroder Video Editing Software

I want to make a movie out of my videos that I just recorded and edit them. Add sound and text to the screen as well, can anyone point me in the right direction of software that is capable of doing this?

Windows Movie Maker 2 does most of that stuff, and is pretty user-friendly. Free too; just download from the MS site.

Yep. If you just want to do the basics, MM2 works fine. If you want to start doing the fancy stuff, that's when you need to check out Adobe Premiere (and/or Premiere Elements).

Premiere Elements is nice, much better than Studio 9 IMO.
Depends on the editor. Studio 10 has even more. And Sony Movie is another option. All are < $100. Avid Free is another free one, but output is MOV. There is a Linux designed editor that looks really good too, but I do not use Linux, so do not remember the name of it.
