camcorders-who makes good ones?

We used to have a Sony but it stopped working after ~4 years...

The thing is, the Sony had a 3.5" screen while most camcorders today have little pathetic 2.5" screens..

panasonic! Get a cheap (sub-$700) 3 CCD panasonic. Other than that, Sony and Canon are fine but your money goes much furhter with a panasonic.

It's just that the image stabilizer absolutely sucks on those. Picture is great but I can't hold the darn Panasonic still enough at all.....
Im considering the new JVC that has a mini hard drive (4 gig) in it and no tapes.
