Camcorder/webcam?

Aiight, I've got a Sony MiniDV camcorder. I can get a live feed on my computer through firewire, is there any software out there that will allow me to use that as a webcam?
 
You should be able to select the video capture driver in like NetMeeting or something. I forget how firewire works, but there should be some WDM driver or something.
 
Anybody else? This has to be possible, the live feed is right there on my PC, there has to be software that can use it.
 
i dunno, if netmeeting can't see it, i doubt many other programs can either... i had an ATI AIW that i could use as a "webcam," but even that didn't always work.

Go here, and download their software. It rocks, and is free.
 
I have a Sony Minidv (trv-18) cam too, and to use it as a webcam you need to use the USB cable. That is the only way that I have made it work.
