I'm thinking about buying this system, I just wanted to see what you guys though about it. Anybody who has it have any problems? I heard it has a weak sub and it's not for high volume users, is this true? Any info would be appreciated. Peace.

I bought the system a while ago.

I personally love it. I am not a big fan of realy loud music but it sounds crystal clear. I agree its not as powerful as others out there ie Klipsch V2 400 but they are easier to deal with and if you watch dvds are a nice effective solution to get dolby digital 5.1 if creative works a driver for it in win2k. (grrrrrrrr).

anyways I love the system and will not change it for a good long time to come.

Great speaker system - good highs, weaker bass (due to the inferior subwoofer) but very decent system altogether. If you turn it up enough you can get a lot of good music from ths speakers 🙂 (I have a set too, bought primarily for the DD 5.1 feature)

For a PC speaker setup, it's excellent. Yes, the sub is underpowered but it gets the job done. The satellites reproduce high frequencies well but of course do nothing with low frequencies. The control box is great! Built-in dolby decoder is nice but I don't use it. It accepts 2 digital sources (1 proprietary SB, 1 AC-3 rca). I love my set. Just don't expect the sound quality to equal a home system -- it's nowhere near that league.

I appreciate the info everyone. For those who own it, does it sound nice as far as gaming goes. I've read that's it better for gaming than it is for dvds, any thoughts? Peace.

It's a very nice sounding system, though the bass is a bit weak and sounds muffled from time to time if you turn it up. The control until has connector for a powered subwoofer, should you choose to add one later. It has 4 sound settings, but 4point is the only one I use, as it sounds the best to me, no matter what I am using it for, except for DVD's, which obviously I use AC3 then.

Hey, yeah I was actually thinking of just adding a more powerful sub later if need be. I read somewhere that for 50 dollars, CS will ship a better one to you but no site I've been to has given me this option. Now, another question. I just realized that I can get the Videologic Digitheatre for 315 shipped. This would come out to be about 95 bucks more than the dtt's. I'm kinda strapped for cash but anyway, do you guys think it would be worth it to swing for the digitheatre instead? I am getting a system mainly for dvds so I realize the digitheatre would be better but I do play games occasionally, is it worth the extra 95? do the digitheatres sound that good for dvds? Peace.

auric, i thank you although i have read that review before. it's so confusing cause every review gives a different opinion, that's why i'm so confused. peace.
