TWO v8's? does that mean it'll have the option of the LS2 and the LS7????😀😀😀😀😀

I wondered about that...my first thought was the 303HP 5.3L they have in current Impala/Monte Carlo SS iterations and then the LS2 as the high end for the Camaro SS with another possible future version with a slightly watered down LS7...?

I can't wait 😛

Unfortunately, the 400hp announcement seems to indicate the LS2 being the top engine.

Dropping an LS7 in there would be amazing, though, but I'm sure they don't want to encroach on the Vette.

Let me guess, they'll use an Australian designed platform? Perhaps the VE Commodore? 😉

Clearly NOT a rebadged Commodore a la the Monaro-GTO, though.

And I would actually love to see a rebadged Commodore SS-V. From what I've read, it's an amazing car. It would definitely make a more tempting Grand Prix or Impala than the current offerings if they could drop the price a bit.

the vette will have an LS8 by the time the Camaro comes, or the vette will extremely shortly.

4 wheel IRS? WOW.

Have you seen anything about the LS8? Or is that just speculation? They've only had the LS7 for a year, haven't they? I can't wait to see what's next.

there have been some photos of order sheets, from tuners, with an LS8 listed.

most likely, smaller displacement, FI, engine.

plus, we will have a Corvette SS. which will just be plain sick.

Great video. Aside from all the snatch faces standing in front of the camera... Fairly ugly car, though. I'm sure it will tank like everything else GM attempts.

Good vid.

I agree it's not GREAT looking, but it's a lot more appealing than others in its price range. Definitely a better look than the Asian rice rockets (STi, etc.), but I prefer the Challenger's concept look (although I could never buy a Challenger over a Camaro), but the Camaro has a better modern/retro look than the cheesy retro look of the new Mustang.

boooooo... it's not out till 2009!!!

well based on the vid, i'm guessing it'll have the V6 and an LS2 with DoD

To me it kind of looks like a combination '69 Camaro and a space ship. Hope by production time they can make it a little more 69 looking.

The roads are going to look neat with all these mustangs, camaros and challengers.

Now if they'll come back with a 57 bel air.. 🙂

Of course the camaro will make it to production. GM needs a car like this. Of course imho it would look a lot better without that triangleish front lip spoiler that is about 1/8 ther way up the bumper.

Looks like they're doing the "Whoa...Ford's making a lot of bread on their retro look Mustang! Let's do something that looks like a '69 Camaro and we'll clean up!"

*sigh* Last to the table once again.
