From what I've seen in this forum, Mike Andrawes' article does not represent the average Duron chip--modifying the L6 bridge alone is not enough to get a Duron to POST at a lower multiplier. Furthermore, there are many websites that contradict Mr. Andrawes' oversimplification of the Duron overclock.

I would like to see a clarification--what does it really take to get a Duron set at a lower multiplier for motherboards such as the MSI K7T Turbo?

Thank you,

he started the discussion.... that doesn't mean he is all-knowing...

it was interesting in the probelms it brought up, now its your turn to innovate an answer.

to get my duron up to snuff i merely overclocked it to the 133mhz FSB.... no bridge changing or the like... most durons should be able to find a solution that way.

another solution: get a kt7a or a7v133a
