So yesterday morning I got up at 6am to finish packing, the movers showed up at 9am, and by 1pm I was all moved into the new place. Between the movers breaking my coffee table (and trying to hide it), the Comcast guy knocking over my roommates' 42" Samsung LCD and breaking the base off (couldn't hide that!) it was a wild ride. But last night I got to go out on the town and I must say I'm pretty happy with the decision I made! I will post pics and a video walkthru of the condo very soon.

I love waking up in the morning, looking out the window, and seeing the Capitol on the horizon!

So where did you settle on living? Somewhere near capitol hill, I take? Have you checked out Eastern Market yet? It burnt down, but I heard they're operating again. If it's open for breakfast, go tomorrow.

I'm in Columbia Heights, halfway between the CH Metro and the U Street Metro stops.

Just finished setting up the stereo and the TV in my bedroom--my roommate is pissed about the TV so he hasn't setup the main TV/theater yet.

Video of the new place

Ah the heights. Have you been to Wonderland yet, on the corner of 11th and kenyon (thats between irving and park)? Great place to get a PBR or something much better.

That place is really nice. Do you mind me asking how much that place costs? I'm considering moving out of Ballston.

Lives at Wonderland? I mean, they do have daycare upstairs a couple nights a week I think, but I don't know that they'll let people live there :)

Seriously, though, I forget when but that bar has nights where parents can have their kids babysat upstairs while they get tanked in the bar. When I have kids, I have to do that once on principle.

Just got back from Wonderland right now in fact--had a Delirium Tremens while rocking out to old school 90's hip hop! It was my first time out there and that place ROCKS!!! BTW they are celebrating their 3rd anniversary tomorrow night so I'll definitely be there. Gotta love how its walking distance too!

Everyone's trashed in that last picture, looks like it was a good night :)

Hmmm, I wonder how many of my friends I can rally to go out on a Sunday night. I actually stayed in last night, so it'd really just be making up for that.
