American Airlines has deemed it wise to have me fly from Paris to JFK (arriving at 8 PM), and then have my fly out of LaGaurdia the next morning at 6:50 AM to my final destination in Nashville.

Now I was planning on roughing it and just sleeping in LaGaurdia or JFK, but apparently neither aiport is too nice to sleeping travellers, so I have found a hotel about half a mile from LaGaurdia which has a shuttle back and forth.

The problem is how do I get from JFK to La Gaurdia (or the hotel) without paying too much in taxi fees (about how much would it be? Site says they are 12 miles, 25 min. apart).

There is a shuttle between JFK-LGA, but it's last run is apparently at 8:00pm..great. Is there any other option? Would taking the metro/subway be feasible?

Thanks for any suggestions/tip!

i would think you could find a hotel that has shuttle service to both airports

so you take the hotel shuttle from jfk to the hotel
sleep
take hotel shuttle to lagauardia
...
profit!

hmm, hate to admit but that didn't cross my mind.

A quick bit of googling and I think that might be the best bet.

thanks!

Easiest: take the airport bus to Grand Central, then walk/cab/subway to the Port Authority, bus to LGA, then shuttle to your hotel. You can take the subway (A train, I think) after a shuttle ride from JFK, but the ride takes forever.

Check with ground transportation when you arrive at JFK & see if there's a bus from JFK to the Port Authority (there probably is, but I'm not sure).

WTF? Why would he want to schlep in and out of the city? I think you misunderstood his post. FoBot has the right idea.
