Calling Japan

Hey all, i have a friend in Japan that i want to call but its too much money to just dial him up on my cell phone. What is the best and cheapest way to call him? I dont have internet phone or anything like that.

im on the phone right now to japan for 5 cents a minute to a landline.

Which is why you want to buy a phone card. I bought one at Costco and I call Germany for 11 cents a minute on my cell phone.
