Calling in the experts UPGRADING LAPTOPS is it possible??

I am inquiring about upgrading a laptop a Compaq model 1700 Armada laptop it has a 266 cpu in it now. Is it possible to upgrade to a faster cpu?? I know there are some laptop experts out there 🙂
 
I seriously doubt it. Most laptops back around that time had their CPU's soldered in, barring any upgrade path... but lately, Intel have introduced a type of Mobile CPU (there are three types, though I forget the names), which does let you upgrade... I'll get back to you on the name, but it's 500 PIII's and above only, so you're outta luck bro.
Try sticking in some more RAM - that'd be about your best upgrade.
