Calling for ATL member with AMD setup (XP/Barton System), need help

Well,

My new stuff is here but I am having trouble setting it up. it wont POST and beeping like crazy, continuous long and short beep. My setup is ABIT NF7-S, AMD 2500 BARTON, and 2X256 HYPERX 2.5v . Problem is I dont have a spare setup to test which part is not working. Argggg....so if you from atlanta area and have a setup where I can quickly test the CPU and RAM this weekend, please...please let me know. It wont take too long of your time... :D

Try just installing the video card, processor and 1 stick of ram. If it still won't post, replace the RAM with the other stick and try again.

Yes, do what Electric Amish said. Also try pulling the memory and vid card out and reseating it.

Worst case, remove the entire motherboard and reseat it. I've had that fix problems.

did that, I even went to Pheonix Award site and it says check your CPU or RAM....

You make sure you put on all the jumpers right. Also you motherboard may just be defective. RMA's are the greatest invention ever. A one step fix all.

The only jumper that I need to touch is when I clear the CMOS and I did that many times. I hate to RMA the wrong parts. Right now, it could be the mobo, cpu, or rams. Thats why I need some help to do some process of elimination....or something like that ...
