I wanted to get a very small pot to put some daffodil seeds in and give this to my girlfriend because this is her favorite flower. but what size pot is too small? whats the smallest i can go
 
really? it takes years? i thought it'd take a couple months.

well what are bulbs like? are they just flowers that havent opened up yet?

No, bulbs are a solid root or stem that gets planted. After a time the plant sprouts up from the bulb. It will have leaves and flowers. The flowers will die but the leaves will remain. Let them grow so that the bulb gets replenished with energy for the next spring to start the cycle all over again.

They are perennials, meaning that they live for a long time.

Eventually they die, but they can be replaced easily.
