I know jack squat about electronics other than to solder (even I suck at that). What would I use these for?

I was being optimistic. I got an el cheapo sears one for $13 new two years ago, so, yeah, sued and dusty, probably no more than $5

measure voltage current impedance between the two terminals

you can sell them on ebay, but IMO, it's not worth the hassle. Just find someone who wants one and charge the cost of shipping. I'm sure there's an EE or two on AT who you could make happy.

those simpson 260s are beloved by some old school folks....watching the needle bounce back and forth is nice for some applications...used in leakage current measurements etc.

If you have the book and case it might go for 30 to 50 bucks.

simpson 260 completed on ebay

the other one is just a radio shack brand...not so good, but ok for checking things around the house
