How do I request a refund of a final value fee on an auction, not for a non paying bidder but for another reason, such as the item being returned? ebay claims you can do this but the only page I can find to file for a refund of it forces you to file a non paying bidder report, which I dont want to do since that wasnt the case.

why would i need to file a non paying bidder alert when the bidder paid? surely there is a better option.

What would prohibit you? You do realize that there is a difference between alert and warning, right?

What do you mean. When you want to file for a refund of FVF the only way I can find to do that is to file a non paying bidder alert. Why in the hell would I have to do that if that wasnt the case?

Bizzactly. Its ebay. Everything is backwards like that.

File NPA alert, which does nothing except generate a "please pay me e-mail" wait 10 days, then file FVF under returned item or mutual decline of purchase.

wow, live chat just confirmed you have to file NPD anyways. That's terribly non-intuitive. That page doesn't explain it wont leave a bad mark for the buyer, either. what a retarded process.

Ebay IS retarded.

Spoken with experience on this one.

Normally, I flame people who dont do as I say and save time by doing so, but Lucky is lucky today because I'm really really tired.
