Look at it this way: assuming he has something serious, the longer he waits, the greater his costs could be. Those costs might have to be absorbed and passed on by whatever hospital he ends up at.

Honestly, because of his symptoms... it could be so many things. Even if I were a doctor, I wouldn't be able to tell you without seeing him. I get dizzy sometimes just from not eating well enough, and sometimes if I eat certain foods I get nauseous and end up throwing up. Also it could just be a flu of some sort that has been incubating since he dropped a friend off at the ER. I would say that from the nature of his symptoms and his age, he probably isn't having a stroke. It's most likely just a seasonal sickness that will run it's course and be gone in a couple days.

He is a big boy, and he needs to be responsible for himself. I know that you are worried for your friend, but if he has declined your offer to take him to the hospital, let him be. It's his decision.

Edit: Also, I looked it up, and dizziness is one of about 20 symptoms of a stroke. He doesn't have any of the other symptoms, so you can rest easy on that one.

Probably just dehydrated from the vomiting and maybe some foodpoisoning. Doesn't sounds like anything serious at all.
