The quick story: Was running one way and trying to pivot and turn another way to catch a disc and managed to do _something_ to my upper left hip/groin. This was a few weeks ago and usually if I do something stupid it takes care of itself over time but this one has gotten worse. It got to a point this past weekend where, if I was standing up, I would have a hard time even lifting my left knee/leg vertically without actually using my hand to pull my leg upward. Walking however is mostly ok as I can move my left leg more forward than up but that is more of a hobble.....and I am hoping to be able to actually run at some point in the near future.

Was looking online and figure I strained a iliacus, TFL, or psoas, but really have no idea on how to identify what is going on and what I should do. I do plan on seeing someone about it in the next couple days but am always interested to hear what the wisdom of the internet can provide......

Take off your trousers and let us have a look at....waidaminit...I ain't falling for that trick again. 3 times is enough. :colbert:

Getting worse over time is definitely a sign you should see someone.

However, you're lucky. Health and Fitness is <----- that way.

And you might be able to find someone in there to consult over skype an he can probably diagnose your problem. Maybe even teach you how to fix it.
