Calling ATOT cooks: ??'s about boxwood basil and hot oregano

So I started a garden about a year ago and it's been growing like gangbusters. However I purchased two herbs and I am not sure if I can just substitute these into any dish that calls for it.

Can boxwood basil be used in recipes just like regular basil?

Can hot oregano be used in recipes just like normal oregano?

Not familiar with those variants.

Just taste them raw. See how the flavor is different from the normal type you use. I'm guessing they're fairly similar, and the resulting dish will taste mostly the same.
